Según EW, la novela best seller "22/11/63" de Stephen King podría convertirse en serie de televisión con J. J. Abrams como productor, algo nada fuera de lo común ya que muchos libros escritos por este autor ya tienen su adaptación visual. La compañía Bad Robot dirigida por Abrams junto con Warner Bros están en platicas para adaptar la novela del autor, que se publicó en 2011, y que habla sobre un profesor que viaja atrás en el tiempo y trata de prevenir el asesinato del presidente John F. Kennedy.
Por la historia que se cuenta en la novela parece más adecuado convertirla en película, pero el concepto de viajes en el tiempo ha tenido mucho éxito con anterioridad en series de TV. En el libro, el protagonista viaja 50 años atrás antes del asesinato de Kennedy, por lo que hay un largo período de tiempo detallando su adaptación a la vida en el pasado y el acecho a Lee Harvey Oswald quien fue declarado presunto culpable del asesinato.
